Kettlebells are a weighted cannon ball with a handle that delivers an all in one strength and cardio workout Kettlebells provide a total body workout at home, outdoors, or in the office Kettlebells can be used 2-7 days per week for 10-40 minutes Kettlebell training can easily be integrated into the lifestyle of a working person Kettlebells are weights that can be lifted like ordinary dumbells, but can also be swung about for an intense cardio workout. With kettlebells you can have a workout in very little space that will get your heart pumping and exercise your whole body. With a pair of these you can burn up just as many calories, as going for a run, all you need is the room to swing your arms. There are hundreds of exercises you can do with a KB, exercising your whole body, in little space.
Whilst I did not get a cannon ball delivered, I did get a Kettlebell. I'm very much a man who is into his medieval re-enactments and a few fellows who do this with me, have trouble loading the cannon balls into cannons. This can be a real difficulty, trust me, you don't want to be struggling to lift your balls into a pipe when a thousand naked men with long, sharp spears are running at you.
The handle on the ball gives it great spin when fired but of course the downside to this is that the ball doesn't have a great seal around the interior of the cannon. One young stable-boy apprentice came up to me during the Battle of Hastings and started to explain why a Kettlebell is better in Iron than Wood, and by jove, I must agree with him. At first I was baffled by this 'Iron', being told it was some type of 'Modern Wood', but now, as time grows old, I am starting to appreciate it's uses, however I don't think it will catch on.
